About This Item

Full Description

This specification covers high temperature, compression set and fluid resistant fluorocarbon elastomer material to be used in the form of O-rings, compression seals, O-ring cord, and molder-in-place gaskets for aeronautical and aerospace applications.

These products have resistance to a variety of gas turbine engine oils, including high thermal stability (HTS) oils, fuels, and hydraulic fluids, but usage is not limited to such applications. Each application should be considered separately. This fluorocarbon (FKM) has a service temperature range of -60 to +400 \mDF (-51 to +204 \mDC) in air.

While the materials, methods, applications, and processes described or referenced in this specification may involve the use of hazardous materials, this specification does not address the hazards, which may be involved in such use. It is the sole responsibility of the user to ensure familiarity with the safe and proper use of any hazardous materials and to take necessary precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of all personnel involved.
