This session looks critically at thermally active buildings (TABS) and how they can positively impact resiliency during heat waves and power outages. The seminar introduces TABS, presents a simulation study of TABS vs. an all-air system and finally, outlines a case study of an electrified TABS building using precast concrete with embedded hydronics for cooling.
